What is the BEST program?

The Boundless Experiences for Successful Transitions (BEST) program provides intensive care to young people with autism or co-occurring intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and mental health issues during the critical transition period from youth to young adulthood, and navigating adulthood transitions up to age 40.

Center-Based Services

Our center-based programs are rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and empower kids and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other behavioral and mental health challenges to achieve their full potential. (Link)

Crisis Intervention

A licensed therapist answers crisis calls and collaborates with the caller to define the crisis, determine the level of risk, and provide support and guidance to manage the crisis.

Day Treatment Program

Improve behavioral health through group counseling and activities designed to develop social and independent living skills, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills.

High-Intensity Care Coordination

Qualified specialists provide case management, one-on-one community support, advocacy, and more to ensure quality and continuity of care.

Peer Mentor Services

Peer mentors empower program participants to reach their boundless potential by connecting them to community resources and one-on-one mentoring.

WOW (Without Walls)

A three-hour day program focused on work readiness through socialization and community integration opportunities. Groups are no larger than four participants.

    Behavioral Health Services

    Students enjoy access to Boundless clinicians and licensed social workers, who assess mental health needs and develop comprehensive, individualized care plans.

    Case Management

    Case management helps you put together all the pieces of your unique treatment puzzle and may touch upon health, community resources, education, advocacy, assistance navigating insurance and funding, transportation, and more.

    Independent Living Clinical Support Services

    This program builds independence and group tolerance. Activities include office work, daily living skills, and outings.

    Counseling and Therapy

    Our behavioral health programs help people deal with depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, co-occurring mental health diagnoses, I/DD, and more. Medication management is also available.

  5. 05

    Parent Support

    Our clinicians support family members by providing counseling and parent training for disruptive behavior, offering case management support, and acting as a liaison between Boundless and home.

  6. 06

    PEERS group

    Using a curriculum developed at UCLA, PEERS participants ages seventeen through twenty-nine learn the social and independence skills necessary for a successful transition to adulthood. Classes run for sixteen weeks and are open to those currently enrolled at Boundless.
