At free statewide lending libraries, individuals can borrow assistive technology and other valuable resources before deciding to purchase them.

These programs provide a convenient way for individuals, families, and support teams to explore tools that can increase independence, improve communication, enhance learning, and support everyday living. Best of all, there is no cost to borrow many of these resources. 

Assistive Technology of Ohio (AT Ohio) 

AT Ohio offers access to a large library of assistive technology devices available for a 30-day trial period. 

Individuals can browse the online catalog, complete an application, and submit a signed agreement form. Once approved, AT Ohio provides shipping information and sends devices directly to borrowers. 

Returning borrowed items is simple. Devices can be mailed back using a prepaid shipping label or dropped off at a designated return location. 

Whether you're interested in communication devices, adaptive equipment, or other assistive tools, AT Ohio makes it easy to try resources before making a long-term commitment.

OCALI Lending Library 

The OCALI Lending Library provides access to a wide variety of materials and resources that support learning, communication, accessibility, and independence. 

The library is available to anyone age 18 or older who lives or works in Ohio. To get started, users simply create an account and complete the online registration process. Once registration is approved, OCALI will confirm account activation by email. 

The collection includes helpful resources for individuals with disabilities, family members, educators, service providers, and other support professionals.
