What are family support services?
Family Support Services are provided by the State of Ohio for Franklin County families who have chosen to keep their family member with complex needs associated with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health challenges at home. Funding is available on a limited basis through Boundless for a variety of services and equipment.
How does it work?
- Guardians of family members with complex needs associated with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health challenges living full-time in the home may be eligible to apply for Family Support Services by completing a Family Support Services application.
- Family members must meet the criteria for services as determined by the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
- Family Support Services application are reviewed by Boundless and sent to the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities intake office and returned to Boundless with approval of eligibility.
- After approval has been communicated back to the family, guardians can contract Boundless to review how to acquire funds and services.
