Brent possesses an undergraduate degree in social work and is currently pursuing his master of social work degree from Campbellsville University. Since 2011, Brent has provided direct and administrative services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
He has worked in various settings and with diverse clients, including long-term and brief interventions. Areas of proficiency for counseling include:
- Play therapy. Using PLAY Autism Intervention for children on the autism spectrum or with related neurodevelopmental disabilities.
- Children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral and mood issues
- Anxiety and depressive disorders
- Phase-of-life changes, grief, and loss

- Motivational Interviewing.
- Solution-focused group counseling
Brent believes all individuals deserve the proper support systems and resources to facilitate necessary life adjustments and create positive changes. He also believes that empathy, support, and integrity are the essential tools people need to flourish and achieve their dreams.
