Women Leaders at Boundless Health

Boundless Health aims to meet the primary and preventative healthcare needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), those with behavioral health challenges and their families. It is also open to anyone who is looking for primary care services or wanting a new doctor. Today, Boundless Health continues to provide exceptional care under the leadership of an all-female team. As we celebrate International Women's Day, we want to recognize some of our women leaders. 

“I think we have a team that is great at communicating, great at problem solving and great at being empathetic. I think there's a lot of passion for figuring out how to innovate for this community,” said Katie Babcock, director of healthcare operations at Boundless Health.

Babcock joined Boundless a year ago. She oversees all aspects of our dental, primary care, psychiatry and soon pharmacy services. Babcock works with our medical director Dr. Cindy Ripsin and our dental director, Dr. Ashiyan Rahman to ensure that we provide excellent and high-quality care to all patients.

“I think that women bring diverse perspectives to leadership roles just as they are. Diversity at all levels, not just along the gender line, is key in making decisions for the whole community,” Babcock said.  

Unfortunately, women are greatly underrepresented in health care leadership, with women making up 75% of the U.S. hospital workforce while only 13% of healthcare CEOs are female.

“I think that mentorship is really important. Most people are open and willing to talk to you about how they got where they're at, what they ran into, and how they overcame it,” Babcock said.

Meet the Boundless Health team:

Dr. Cindy Ripsin, our medical director, provides leadership and direction to ensure our team meets their goals. She also provides direct patient services, delivering high-quality healthcare to Boundless Health patients.

Dr. Ashiyan Rahman is the newest addition to the team. She serves as our Boundless Health dental director and dentist, Dr. Rahman oversees all operations in our dental clinic. She works to provide necessary care in a way that accommodates our patient’s needs.

Katie Babcock has served as Boundless Health’s director of healthcare operations for the past year. She oversees dental, primary care, psychiatry and pharmacy statewide.
