Every June, we take a moment to recognize National CPR & AED Awareness Week.

Being ready to help in an emergency is one of those things we hope we never need but are always grateful for when it counts.

At Boundless, care is part of our everyday rhythm. It shows up in small, consistent ways. It is in how we support each other, check in, and stay connected. Sometimes, though, caring for others also means being ready for the unexpected.

As Sarah Chapman, our Director of Training at Boundless, shares: “One of the most rewarding parts of training is knowing that the skills we teach can have a real impact beyond the classroom. CPR and AED training gives people the confidence to step in and help during a life-threatening emergency when every second matters. The time you invest in learning these lifesaving skills today could make all the difference for someone tomorrow."

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere. A workplace, a home, a community space. In those first few minutes, action matters. CPR and AEDs give people the chance to step in during those critical moments before help arrives.

The good news is that you do not need to be a medical expert to help. With a bit of training, anyone can learn how to recognize an emergency, perform chest compressions, and use an AED with confidence. These devices are designed to guide you step by step, making them approachable even in stressful moments.

This week is a chance to pause and ask yourself if you feel ready to help. If not, that is okay. Learning is always within reach.

Here are a few simple ways to take part:

  • Sign up for a CPR and AED training
  • Find out where AEDs are located near you
  • Invite coworkers, friends, or family to learn with you
  • Renew your certification if it has been some time

Being prepared is a quiet kind of care. You may never need to use it, but if you do, it can mean everything.

At Boundless, we are committed to building a culture of safety, compassion, and readiness. Thank you for being part of a community that takes care of one another, every day.
